A recurring curated open-air market at Taman Lapangan Banteng in Central Jakarta, grown from a 2016 old-town brand market into a picnic-style event with over two hundred vendors, a secondhand market, kids area, and appearances by Jakarta's ondel-ondel puppet figures, with Jakarta Experience Board now partnering directly on an event that began as an independent creative-economy initiative.

Semasa began in 2016 as a curated market at Gedung Olveh in Jakarta's Kota Tua old town, founded by Gunawan Lo and Joe Wirohutomo as a deliberate alternative to what its organizers described as mall fatigue, before its Piknik format later moved to the open lawns of Taman Lapangan Banteng in Central Jakarta.
