Lalish Autumn Assembly in Lalish
From October sixth through the thirteenth, Lalish hosts the Yazidi Autumn Assembly, the faith's highest holiday, marking the belief that the Seven Angels convene above the valley to decide the world's fate. Pilgrims, tribal chiefs, and religious leaders gather for processions, communal meals, qewl hymn recitals, and shrine candle lighting.
