Dr Micheal Fanning, a Dingle poet and GP, set Feile na Bealtaine in motion in the mid-1990s, naming it after the ancient Celtic festival of Bealtaine that marks the start of summer, and the event has run every May bank holiday weekend since as a five-day arts gathering across the Dingle Peninsula.
