One Dublin One Book in Dublin

One Dublin One Book, running every April since 2006, asks the whole city to read a single Dublin-connected book chosen by Dublin City Libraries and Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, supporting the choice with free events, discussions and workshops across the city's library network. A citywide reading campaign asks Dublin to read a single Dublin-connected book each April, supported by free discussions, workshops and performances across the library network since 2006.

One Dublin One Book asks the entire city to read a single designated book connected to Dublin during April each year, an idea borrowed directly from Seattle librarian Nancy Pearl's original one-city-one-book concept and adapted by Dublin City Libraries and Dublin UNESCO City of Literature since the initiative's first edition in 2006, which chose Flann O'Brien's comic fantasy At Swim-Two-Birds.
