For one Thursday evening a month each autumn, the Old City's alleys fill with jousting knights, jesters, and costumed performers in a free medieval-carnival festival built around a partnership with Italy's Carnival of Venice. The circular route from Jaffa Gate takes in mask workshops, staged sword fights, and a signature performance at Muristan Square in the Christian Quarter.
