A long-running Hebrew poetry festival originally held in Metula, a small village on the Israel-Lebanon border, featuring readings and literary discussions directed by Effie Benaya. War damage and the evacuation of Metula's residents forced a relocation to Jerusalem's Confederation House, where the free, multi-day event has continued while organizers describe the move as temporary pending the border town's rehabilitation.

For close to three decades, the Metula Poets Festival gathered Hebrew-language poets in a village of roughly 1,500 residents pressed against the Israel-Lebanon border, known otherwise for its bed-and-breakfasts and views of Mount Hermon.
