A free weekend each year, started in 2007, when Tel Aviv-Jaffa's private homes, historic buildings, and public spaces open their doors for public tours. Many editions lean into the city's UNESCO-listed Bauhaus and International Style architecture, letting visitors see interiors of homes and landmarks normally closed to outsiders.

Open House Tel Aviv, known locally as Batim MiBifnim, literally Houses From Within, began in 2007 as the Tel Aviv edition of an international open-house movement that started in Paris in 1984 and later spread to London and New York before reaching Israel.
