Milan Design Week in Milan
A citywide design event held each April alongside Milan's Salone del Mobile furniture fair, spreading through the Fuorisalone program into neighborhoods including Brera, Tortona and 5vie, where brands and independent designers stage installations and showroom openings largely open to the public without a trade badge required.
Milan Design Week grew up around the Salone del Mobile, the furniture trade fair held at the Fiera Milano exhibition grounds, but the week's real geographic spread happens across the city itself through the Fuorisalone, a citywide program of installations, showroom openings and brand activations that has made Milan Design Week one of the design industry's central annual events worldwide.
