St. Elizabeth Homecoming Week in Black River/Santa Cruz
St Elizabeth Homecoming Week is the flagship event of the St Elizabeth Homecoming Foundation, founded in 1993 as Jamaica's oldest parish-specific diaspora homecoming organization, bringing overseas St Elizabeth natives back home each year to towns across the parish including Black River, Santa Cruz, Malvern, Junction and Balaclava.
Established in 1993, the St Elizabeth Homecoming Foundation predates most of the parish-pride homecoming movements it later inspired elsewhere in Jamaica, and organizers describe it as the oldest organization of its kind built around bringing a single parish's diaspora home once a year.
