A Taste of Reggae Sumfest in Ocho Rios/Plantation Cove

Jamaica's largest reggae and dancehall festival, founded in 1993 and normally staged over a full week at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay. After Hurricane Melissa damaged that venue, the festival was condensed into a single-night event, A Taste of Sumfest, relocated to Plantation Cove near Ocho Rios in St Ann.

Founded in 1993 by a group of Montego Bay businessmen and promoters, Reggae Sumfest grew into the largest reggae and dancehall festival in the Caribbean, normally staged each July at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay across a full week of dancehall nights, international nights and all-white nights that have hosted everyone from Beenie Man, Buju Banton and Bunny Wailer to international headliners like Rihanna, Usher and Nicki Minaj.
