The place changes

The festival's genuine distinction is its setting: performances unfold inside one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the world, with floodlit columns and ancient theatres providing a backdrop no purpose-built venue could replicate

02

The mystery stays covered

Its four-decade institutional history, dating to Queen Noor's founding in 1981, gives it a continuity and scale, roughly 150,000 attendees and participants from more than 35 Arab countries, unmatched by any other Jordanian cultural event

03

The city starts moving

Recent milestone editions have explicitly celebrated this longevity, framing the festival as both a cultural showcase and a symbol of Jordan's openness to Arab and international artistic exchange
