Madaba Mosaic Festival in Madaba
Launched in 2014, the Madaba Mosaic Festival celebrates the Byzantine and Umayyad mosaic tradition that made the city internationally famous, home to the 6th-century Map of Madaba. Expect live mosaic-making demonstrations and workshops, folk performances, traditional music, contemporary art exhibitions inspired by ancient designs, and food stalls, typically held each July just 33 kilometers from Amman.
