Eurasia International Film Festival in Almaty/Astana
Kazakhstan's flagship international film festival, held since 1998 and accredited by FIAPF, screening and competing films from around the world alongside a dedicated Central Asian and Turkic-countries competition. Editions have been staged in both Almaty and Astana, typically running about a week in late November.
Directors, actors, and critics from more than a dozen countries convene in Kazakhstan each year for the Eurasia International Film Festival, an event supported by the national government and accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, placing it among a select tier of festivals recognized on the global competitive film-festival circuit.
