Kuwait International Book Fair in Kuwait City
Running since 1975 and organized by Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, the Kuwait International Book Fair is the Arab world's third-oldest book fair. Held over about ten days each late November, it draws hundreds of publishers and hundreds of thousands of visitors to Kuwait City.
First held on November 1, 1975, the Kuwait International Book Fair ranks as the third oldest book fair in the Arab world after Cairo and Beirut, and it remains the country's largest cultural gathering by attendance.
