Alye Maki Choreography Festival in Issyk-Kul
Alye Maki, or Red Poppies, is an international choreography, vocal and fine-arts competition held on Issyk-Kul's shores, organized by the St. Petersburg International Union of Choreographers with the Antre ballet studio, drawing more than 400 young performers from five countries in its fourth documented edition. The program pairs competition rounds with master classes in Kyrgyz, Uyghur and Russian folk dance plus contemporary choreography.
