Kauguri Festival in Jurmala
The Kauguri Festival is a full-day community celebration in Jurmala's Kauguri district, held each August on Tallinas Street and in Kauguru Park. Concerts, children's and youth activities, and an artisans' and homemakers' market bring neighbours together, building toward an open-air concert finale. Circus demonstrations and street sports shows add variety, making it one of Jurmala's more local, neighbourhood-scaled festival days rather than a resort-wide event.
Jurmala is often pictured as a single continuous strip of beach, dunes, and the pedestrian bustle of Jomas Street, but the resort city is in fact a string of distinct districts, each with its own character and calendar.
