Beirut Arab International Book Fair in Beirut
The Beirut Arab International Book Fair, organized by the Arab Cultural Club since the mid-20th century, is the event most commonly meant by a Beirut books festival. Its 66th edition ran eleven days at the Seaside Arena with 134 Lebanese and Arab publishers, dozens of talks, and book signings. Political and industry disputes over participation have occasionally led to rival fairs running the same season.
The Beirut Arab International Book Fair is the flagship book event most often meant by any reference to a Beirut books festival, and it is among the oldest continuously running book fairs in the Arab world.
