Beirut Shorts International Film Festival in Beirut
Beirut Shorts International Film Festival has run since 2007 under the Beirut Film Society, dedicated entirely to short films across fiction, documentary, animation, and new media, under the recurring theme The Power of Youth. It became the first Oscars Qualifying festival in Lebanon, meaning its top winners in several categories become directly eligible for Academy Award consideration. It also helped establish the MENA Short Film Center to support short-form filmmaking regionally.
