Eid el Saydeh, the Feast of the Assumption on August 15, draws its largest concentration of pilgrims to Harissa's Our Lady of Lebanon shrine above Jounieh Bay, where a towering Marian statue anchors vigils, processions, and outdoor rosaries. The national holiday is widely observed across Lebanon's religious communities, with concerts, markets, and food stalls layered onto the shrine's religious core at Harissa.

August 15 marks Eid el Saydeh, the Feast of the Assumption, widely regarded as Lebanon's most beloved summer religious celebration, and nowhere does it draw a larger concentration of pilgrims than Harissa, the hillside town overlooking Jounieh Bay and the Mediterranean where a nearly 100-foot statue of Mary with open arms stands atop the Our Lady of Lebanon shrine.
