Tyre International Festival in Tyre

Held inside the Roman hippodrome at Tyre's UNESCO-listed Al-Bass archaeological site since 1996, the Tyre International Festival stages a week of concerts and performances each summer, mixing Lebanese and Arab music stars with folkloric and theatrical acts. The ancient stadium seats roughly two thousand spectators against a backdrop of standing Roman ruins.

Since its launch in 1996, the Tyre International Festival has staged concerts and performances inside one of Lebanon's most striking archaeological settings, the Al-Bass site on the edge of the ancient Phoenician port city of Tyre.
