Gharyan Tourism Crafts and Heritage Days in Traditional Industries Training Center, Gharyan
Gharyan Tourism, Crafts and Heritage Days is a formally recognized Libyan cultural event held at the Traditional Industries Training Center in Gharyan, a mountain town in the Nafusa range renowned for its pottery. Established through Government Decision No. 42 of 2013, the event celebrates the shared craft heritage of the regions Amazigh and Arab communities through exhibitions, demonstrations, and cultural programming.
Gharyan rises in the Nafusa Mountains south of Tripoli, a town long defined by its distinctive troglodyte architecture, underground courtyard homes carved into the soft rock, and by the pottery tradition that has made it one of Libyas most recognized craft centers.
