Tripoli Old City Ramadan Nights Festival in Tripoli Old City
The Tripoli Old City Ramadan Nights Festival, known locally as City Nights under the slogan Good Days, revives communal evening life inside Tripoli's historic walled quarter each Ramadan. Centered on Marcus Aurelius Arch Square, its second edition ran through the twenty-fifth night of the holy month, combining a women's craft corner, a Quran memorization competition, and a dedicated children's day into one program.
Tripoli's Old City has stood inside its ancient walls for centuries, its narrow lanes and the Roman-era Marcus Aurelius Arch witness to layers of history long before the modern Libyan state existed.
