Maibaumfeier Schaan in Schaan
A traditional May Day maypole celebration organized by the Harmoniemusik Schaan brass band, with live music from around eleven in the morning, food and drink stands run by volunteers, and a decorated maypole marking the arrival of spring in an easygoing, family-friendly village gathering open to all.
On the first of May, the Harmoniemusik Schaan, the village's civilian brass and wind band, organizes a Maibaumfeier, a traditional maypole celebration rooted in the wider Alpine custom of marking the start of spring with a decorated pole raised in a public square.
