Kaunas Hanseatic Days in Kaunas
Kaunas Hanseatic Days has run each May since 2005, marking the city's status as Lithuania's only member of the historic Hanseatic League and its modern successor network. Kaunas Castle grounds become a reconstructed medieval town with knights' tournaments, archery, a folk art fair, craftspeople's hamlet and open-air plays.
Kaunas Hanseatic Days has been organized annually since 2005, marking the city's historic role as Lithuania's sole member of the medieval Hanseatic League and, today, its only city holding membership in the modern New Hanse network of former trading towns.
