Kernagines in Neringa

Kernagines is a new Nida festival launched to mark the 75th birth anniversary of Lithuanian singer-songwriter Vytautas Kernagis, combining live reinterpretations of his songs with a photo exhibition of his career, children's creative workshops and a calligraphy workshop. Organized by the Vytautas Kernagis Foundation and Nida's Agila culture center, it held its first edition in mid-May.

Nida's harbor town hosted something new in mid-May: a festival built entirely around the songbook of Vytautas Kernagis, one of Lithuania's most beloved singer-songwriters, timed to mark what would have been his 75th birthday.
