Siauliai Days marks the city's founding each September with a festive procession, a motorized parade through the main streets, and major concerts on an open-air city center stage, drawing thousands of participants. Since 2003, the companion Hippyland event has run alongside it, adding an alternative counterculture dimension to the civic celebration.
Siauliai Days is the largest annual civic festival in Siauliai, held each September to mark the city's founding and traditionally counted from the medieval Battle of Saule, giving each year's edition a running numbered title that ties the celebration directly to the city's centuries of recorded history.
