Culture Night Vilnius in Vilnius
A free, all-night culture festival held across Vilnius each June or July since 2007, inspired by Paris's Nuit Blanche and launched as part of the city's build-up to becoming European Capital of Culture in 2009, opening more than 150 theater, music, cinema and performance art projects across the Old Town to over 100,000 visitors.
Culture Night in Vilnius began in 2007, conceived by initiator Daina Urbanaviciene as part of the national program building toward Vilnius's turn as European Capital of Culture in 2009, drawing direct inspiration from Paris's Nuit Blanche and similar all-night culture festivals that other European cities had already proven could work at scale.
