The story

Kino Pavasaris Vilnius International Film Festival in Vilnius

Lithuania's largest film festival, held every March in Vilnius and more than a dozen other cities since its 1995 founding, screening new and established international cinema across five curated categories while drawing audiences that have grown from roughly 55,000 to well over 100,000 attendees over the past two decades.

Kino Pavasaris, known in English as the Vilnius International Film Festival, launched in 1995 and has since grown into the largest cinematic event in Lithuania by both the number of films screened and the size of its audience, as well as one of the most significant festivals anywhere in the Baltic region.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Kino Pavasaris distinguishes itself through an unusually thorough accessibility program, including marked seating for attendees with movement disabilities, audio description, specialized subtitling for deaf and hard of hearing viewers, and English subtitles on every film screened regardless of language

02

The mystery stays covered

Its five-category structure, spanning discoveries, festival favorites, established masters, critics' picks and a dedicated European debut competition, gives the festival a broader curatorial range than many single-focus film events of comparable size
