Midsummer Vilnius in Vilnius
Vilnius celebrates the June 23 to 24 midsummer solstice, known as Jonines or Rasos, with bonfires, wreath-floating and singing along the Neris River and in Vingis Park. The capital's version leans toward a larger public party atmosphere, blending ancient fern-flower and dew rituals with contemporary music and food stalls.
Vilnius marks the summer solstice on the night of June 23 into 24 with its own city-scale version of Jonines, also called Rasos or the Dew Holiday, a pre-Christian midsummer tradition observed across Lithuania.
