Luxembourg City Film Festival in Luxembourg City
Luxembourg City Film Festival, known as LuxFilmFest, is the country's official film festival, established in 2011 and supported by the Ministry of Culture and the City of Luxembourg. Running across eleven days, it screens fiction, documentaries and Luxembourgish national productions at Cercle Cité, the Cinémathèque de la Ville de Luxembourg, Ciné Utopia and Kinepolis Kirchberg. Awards include a Grand Prix worth 10,000 euros and a Documentary Prize worth 5,000 euros.
Luxembourg City Film Festival was established in 2011 to give the Grand Duchy a proper national showcase for cinema, backed from the outset by the Ministry of Culture and the City of Luxembourg rather than operating as a purely independent venture.
