Macao Arts Festival Outreach Programme is the community engagement strand of the month-long Macao Arts Festival, established in 1990 to bring the arts into everyday life. Running each May, the 36th festival (May 8 to June 27, 2026) presented 15 selected programmes alongside 9 outreach activities, including community flash mobs, meet-the-artist sessions, pre-show talks, charity events and workshops connecting artists directly with the public.

The Macao Arts Festival has run every year since 1990, and from its founding the festival's organizers built in an explicit second mission alongside staging professional theatre, dance, Cantonese opera and visual-arts programming: making sure the arts reached people who might never buy a ticket to a formal performance.
