European Film Festival Malawi in Lilongwe

The European Film Festival Malawi is an annual event organised by the European Union Delegation to Malawi together with the Film Association of Malawi, screening European and Malawian films in Lilongwe over roughly a two-week run each October into November. Launched around 2020, it had reached at least its third edition by 2022 and continued into its 2024 run, officially opened at the EU Ambassador's residence.

Each October, the European Union Delegation to Malawi opens its residence in Lilongwe to launch the European Film Festival Malawi, an annual screening programme that runs for roughly two weeks into November in partnership with the Film Association of Malawi.
