Ipoh International Art Festival in Ipoh
The Ipoh International Arts Festival, organized by the local creative collective PORT, is a contemporary visual art exhibition held in Ipoh, Malaysia, first launched in 2019 and revived for its third edition in December 2023 and fourth in mid-2025. The festival brings together thirty or more artists from Malaysia and abroad for exhibitions, installations, and a youth-focused creative camp, most recently themed around art, healing, and the future.
Ipoh, a former tin-mining town in Malaysia's Perak state, has built an international reputation over the past decade largely through its street murals, painted by artists including Lithuanian muralist Ernest Zacharevic, which turned the city's old shophouse walls into a popular photography destination.
