Tadau Kaamatan District Celebrations in Multiple districts
Tadau Kaamatan, or the Harvest Festival, is Sabah's most important cultural celebration, observed primarily by the Kadazan-Dusun, Murut, Rungus, and Lundayeh communities to give thanks for the rice harvest. Individual district celebrations are held across Sabah in the weeks leading up to the state-level festival on May 30-31, honoring the legend of Huminodun and culminating locally in each district's own Unduk Ngadau pageant, cultural performances, and traditional games.
