National Cultural Diversity and Unity Day

This is the Journee Nationale de la Diversite Culturelle et de l'Unite Nationale, observed each year on March 1 across Mauritania. Established under President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani and organized by the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament, it reaffirms national unity through the country's cultural and linguistic diversity, with ceremonies centered in Nouakchott and echoed in youth centers nationwide.

Each year on March 1, Mauritania observes the Journee Nationale de la Diversite Culturelle et de l'Unite Nationale, the National Day of Cultural Diversity and National Unity, a state-established commemoration created under the direction of President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani and organized through the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament.
