Soroca Fortress Medieval Festival is staged at the 15th-16th century fortress on the Dniester River, first built in wood under Stephen the Great and rebuilt in stone by Petru Rares. The August edition, Al Cincilea Turn, features armed knights, medieval competitions and battles, while a separate December edition, Soroca - Porti Deschise, adds theatre, dance and battle reenactments.
