Bal de la Rose Monaco in Monte Carlo
The Bal de la Rose, or Rose Ball, is a charity gala founded in 1954 by Princess Grace Kelly, held each March at the Salle des Etoiles within the Monte-Carlo Sporting complex. It has benefited the Princess Grace Foundation since 1964 and is known for lavish floral decor using around 25,000 roses, a themed dinner-dance, and hosts Prince Albert II and Princess Caroline.
In 1954, a young Princess Grace Kelly created a ball meant to celebrate a single flower on a scale grand enough to fill a ballroom.
