The story

Monaco Classic Week in Port Hercule

Monaco Classic Week gathers more than 150 historic sailing and motor yachts at Port Hercule every other year, organized by the Yacht Club of Monaco since 1994. The 2025 edition, its seventeenth, ran September 11 through 14 and brought together collectors, shipwrights and crews for parades, races and judged gatherings celebrating wooden-boat craftsmanship and Monaco's long maritime heritage.

Port Hercule fills with a different kind of yacht every other September.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

What sets Monaco Classic Week apart is its focus on preservation rather than pure competition

02

The mystery stays covered

The biennial event, staged in Port Hercule since 1994 by the Yacht Club of Monaco, centers on the La Belle Classe Restoration Prize, an award that honors owners and shipyards for meticulous, historically faithful restorations of vintage sailing and motor yachts

03

The city starts moving

Alongside the prize, the gathering includes on-water parades and races that let more than 150 classic vessels show off their original lines and rigging

04

The water draws everyone in

Held in even years, it draws collectors, naval architects and shipwrights from across Europe, turning the harbor into a floating exhibition of wooden-boat craftsmanship and a working reminder of Monaco's maritime traditions
