Danshig Naadam Khuree Tsam in Ulaanbaatar
Danshig Naadam - Khuree Tsam is a religious and cultural festival tracing to 1639 and the enthronement of the first Bogd Javzandamba Khutagt, Mongolia's spiritual leader, revived in 2015 after decades of suppression. Held at Khui Doloon Khudag and jointly organized with Gandantegchinlen Monastery, it features Tsam masked dances performed by 120 monks alongside the Three Manly Games.
Most Naadam festivals across Mongolia center entirely on the Three Manly Games - wrestling, archery and horse racing.
