Boujloud Bilmawen Festival in Agadir/Inezgane
The Bilmawen (Boujloud) Carnival fills the streets of Inezgane and Agadir in Morocco's Souss region during Tafaska, the days following Eid al-Adha. Costumed dancers wearing sheepskin parade through neighborhoods to drumming, continuing an Amazigh folk tradition whose name means the one with skins. Modern editions, staged as international carnivals in both cities, add street art and giant dancing puppets.
Every year, in the days right after Eid al-Adha, a distinctive folk figure takes over the streets of Dcheira and Inezgane in Morocco's Souss region.
