The story

Comediablanca Festival in Casablanca

Comediablanca is Casablanca's stand-up comedy festival, held at Complexe Mohammed V since its 2024 launch by Myriam Bouayad Amine and Saad Lahjouji Idrissi. The third edition, running June 4 to 6, 2026, brought together more than 20 Moroccan and international comedians for multilingual shows across diverse comedic styles, drawing an expected 15,000 spectators over three nights of performances and a lively festival village.

Casablanca did not have a dedicated comedy festival until 2024, when Myriam Bouayad Amine and Saad Lahjouji Idrissi decided the city needed one.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Comediablanca was built around a simple idea: humor as a common language that pulls people from different backgrounds into the same room

02

The mystery stays covered

Its multilingual lineup mixes Darija, French and English sets and spans styles from observational stand-up to sketch and improv, so audiences hear comedy shaped by very different national traditions in one evening

03

The city starts moving

Beyond the stage, an experiential village adds a curated food court, live entertainment, gaming zones and cultural activations, stretching the festival into a full evening out rather than a single show

04

The water draws everyone in

Its rapid expansion, with spin-off dates at the Olympia in Paris and the Cirque Royal in Brussels and more cities planned, signals a festival built for growth rather than a one-off local event
