Tiznit Silver Festival in Tiznit
Tiznit's Silver Festival celebrates the Moroccan city long known as the Silver City, where Amazigh artisans have shaped intricate jewelry for generations. Timizart, the local Amazigh word for silver, gives the event its name. Held annually, the festival brings together craftsmen, scholars and visitors to honor a trade rooted in the region's famous jewelers souk and its long-running Thursday market.
Tiznit sits near Morocco's southern coast, a walled town whose name has become shorthand for silver across the country.
