Herero Day, also called Red Flag Day, is the annual Herero commemoration held in Okahandja, central Namibia, each August. It marks the 1923 reburial of paramount chief Samuel Maharero and honors Herero chieftains through a procession, church service, and traditional dress, drawing Herero communities from across Namibia to the town's historic burial grounds.
