Windhoek Fashion Week in Windhoek

MTC Windhoek Fashion Week is Namibia's leading fashion platform, launched in 2016 and now marking a decade of programming at Maerua Mall in the capital. Backed by sponsor Mobile Telecommunications Limited and the City of Windhoek, it showcases around 25 to 35 local designers alongside jewellery makers, shoemakers, and make-up artists, drawing thousands of attendees over two days.

MTC Windhoek Fashion Week began in 2016 as what organizers describe as a small event aimed at putting Namibia on the fashion map, at a time when the country's design industry had little sustained platform of its own and Namibian designers often had to look to South Africa for exposure.
