Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival in Kathmandu
The Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF) is Nepal's leading mountain-themed film festival, screening documentaries and features about mountains, mountain cultures, and mountain environments from around the world. Held annually in Kathmandu around 11 December to coincide with International Mountain Day, it pairs cinema with workshops, discussion forums, and photography exhibitions.
The Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival began in 2000 as a biennial, non-competitive event organized by the Himal Association, and it turned into an annual, competitive festival in 2007.
