Running for more than 30 years and now known as the Harcourts Geraldine Festival after its title sponsor, this South Canterbury event opens roughly 20 private gardens to the public each November alongside a juried art exhibition and more than 120 market stalls over three days.

The Harcourts Geraldine Festival, as it is currently branded after its real estate sponsor, began life as the Geraldine Arts and Plants Festival, a name it carried for roughly three decades before the rebrand.
