National Fieldays in Mystery Creek
National Fieldays, run by the New Zealand National Fieldays Society since 1969, is a four-day mid-June agricultural trade show at Mystery Creek Events Centre near Hamilton, described as the Southern Hemisphere's largest agricultural trade event. More than 1,100 exhibitors and well over 100,000 visitors attend for agri-tech showcases, innovation awards, and competitions including fencing and sheepdog trials.
In June 1969, organisers of a new agricultural fair at Te Rapa Racecourse near Hamilton expected around three thousand visitors.
