Omabe Festival Nsukka in Nsukka
The Omabe Festival is a masquerade tradition of the Mba Waawa communities in the wider Nsukka cultural zone of Enugu State, most closely associated with Enugu-Ezike. Held only once every five years, it honors ancestral spirits believed to migrated from the Igala area of present-day Kogi State, and is regarded as a time of communal purification.
