Cinedays Festival of European Film in Skopje

Cinedays Festival of European Film was established in 2001 on the initiative of director Pedro Almodovar and then-EU Commissioner Viviane Reding, evolving into North Macedonia's largest film festival. Accredited by FIAPF in 2018 as a competitive festival for European first and second features, its 24th edition ran December 3 to 10, 2025, presenting European and Southeast European debut and sophomore feature films across genres.

Cinedays Festival of European Film began in 2001 with an unusual pairing of founders: the Spanish director Pedro Almodovar and Viviane Reding, then serving as European Commissioner, who together set out to build a festival dedicated to celebrating European cinema.
