Bergen International Festival in Bergen

Festspillene i Bergen, established in 1953, is the largest festival of its kind in the Nordic countries, modelled on Austria's Salzburg Festival. Held over two weeks from late May into early June, it presents more than two hundred events spanning music, theatre, dance, opera and visual art across venues including the Grieghallen concert hall, the medieval Håkonshallen, and outdoor stages around the city.
